We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit in Villa III.
The units are spacious, with the kitchen open to the living and dining area, and fully equipped. There is a flat screen television in the living room above the fireplace, as well as in each bedroom (although the feed is standard def. There is also a standard def DVD player in the living room. The unit had a washer and dryer inside a nice sized closet that was great for storing the beach stuff, The balcony was on the small side, with a table and chairs.
The resort staff is was very friendly and helpful, and there were a lot of family activites. The pools were clean and nice, and got more use than the beach. The beach area has a lot of small rocks I nthe surf, so I would definitely recommend water shoes.
There is a Super Wal-Mart about 5 minutes away for groceries, an Outlet mall across from it, and numerous restaurants nearby. Try to avoid coming in to the resort that way though, as the traffic is terrible.
The parking pass was easy to get, but sales called twice despite being told we were not interested in an “update”.

We had a great time at the resort with our 3 year old daughter. The resort was smaller compared to Wyndham's Ocean Boulevard and we enjoyed the quieter/peaceful feel of the resort. We stayed in Villa 3 in a nice ocean view unit. Even though the villas are not ocean front like the North and South Towers it was a short walk. We walk through the South Tower on our way to the beach and enjoy the indoor pool, two outdoor pools, a lazy river, and several hot tubs at the South Tower.
Staff at the resort are very friendly. We checked in early and our room was ready upon arrival. The room was well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen had granite counter tops and sufficient cookware for us as we eat in quite a bit with our daughter. The view from our unit was nice... we overlooked the pretty-shaped pools and the ocean at the same time. The balcony of the room was tiny compared to some other resorts we have stayed at though.
We also love the location of the resort! You do need a vehicle to get to places, however, everywhere you may want to go is within a few miles of the resort. And having direct access to a freeway takes you south to 501, cutting a lot of drive time to South Myrtle. We definitely look forward to going back.

With all the pools, hot-tubs and easy boardwalk access to the beach, this is a great resort for families. The lazy river was off limits at South Tower due to broken glass, but the one at North Tower was operating (but nobody used it 'cause it was cold and windy, for May).
Check-in and parking are easy and it seemed there was always a luggage cart to use. Units are well-maintained but furnishings are a bit dated and lack pizazz. My balcony in unit 1514 in South Tower was huge and had a nice side view of the ocean. It also was nice for enjoying the warming morning sunshine. Master BR window and LR sofa also afforded views of the sea.
Beach there is clean and there are umbrellas and chairs to rent daily.
Stuck by the resort as it was Biker Week and traffic was heavy and slow. I did go to the nearby Tanger outlet to browze, and enjoyed the nearby Steak and Shake but did not like the buffet at New China at all (ingredients are not fresh). I recommend King's Famous Pizza and Pasta on Hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach, but I do not know if they deliver. Very fresh ingredients in the vegetarian pizza we had...yum.

Check in was quick, easy and the staff very helpful. We chose not to participate in the orientation or events at the resort. There was more than enough to do in the Myrtle Beach area.
Our visit occurred between March 21 - 28, 2010, early season for a beach vacation. On the other hand, we had mostly good weather to walk the beach and it was easy to get into the many good restaurants and activities. We recommend a visit to BrookGreen Gardens, which is huge and full of blooming flowers/ trees and varied sculptures.
Our unit was 1906 in the North Tower. It was a large two bedroom with a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. The balcony was very large and we enjoyed sitting outside in the warm afternoon sun. Everything worked in the unit and we were supplied with enough soap, paper towels, etc. for the week. We cooked several meals and found everything we needed to do so. Overall the unit was in good condition, as was the building. Others sections of the resort (South Tower) were being repainted on the outside and repaired (south pool).
We had good meals at Rossini's, Chestnut Hill, and a found a great salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's. We would recommend that Greg Norman's Australian Grill be skipped.
Check out was fast and easy.

We stayed at Wyndham Seawatch Plantation in Myrtle Beach from March 20-April 3, 2009. We were in Villa I. The unit was quite nice, and the location was excellent. We could see the beach from our balcony. The master bedroom had a king-size bed with two night tables. There was storage space for clothing in a chest of drawers that the TV sat on. There was a HUGE shower; the sink had plenty of counter space with drawers and cabinets underneath. The only drawback was the size of the closet. It was tiny and had a safe on the floor which took up more than half the floor space. My coat closet at home is bigger than that closet was.
The second bedroom had two double beds and a nice-size closet. The second bathroom was across the hall from this bedroom and convenient for use by anyone in the unit.
The kitchen was well stocked. I was impressed with the pantry; I don’t think I’ve ever been in a time share that you didn’t have to look for places to store your food.
The LR and each of the BRs had flat screen TVs. Wireless internet was available at no cost.
Even though it wasn’t warm enough for use them, the outside pools and two lazy rivers looked very nice. We didn’t take advantage of any of the activities available. Beach towels were provided. The beach was very nice for walking and shelling.
Check-in went smoothly. We went to a timeshare presentation and got three $25 gift cards to use at local restaurants. Check-out was a drive through and took 1 minute. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Because we were off-season, the little store in the South Tower was not open and the restaurant was only open for breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at Seawatch. We stayed in the Villas I section which were refurbished in the winter. It was very nice inside with plenty of room for us. The rooms were very clean. The location was great as the ocean was warm and the pool was warm (very important for us). It is down the street from the Tanger outlets (no signs on the road to find the resort – the entrance road is directly across Arcadian Golf Club). They had a small restaurant onsite with reasonable lunch prices. Dinner seemed a bit pricey but it is comparable to other M.B. restaurants. You need a car as you need to drive to everything. Wireless internet available for $10/day or $20 for the week.

My wife and I just purchased our time-share in Hawaii in October of 2006. It's the new one in Honolulu. Anyway, we wanted to see other places in the U.S. and my wife has always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach. We used our Points and acquired a two bedroom unit at the Fairfield SeaWatch Plantation.
We flew into Myrtle Beach airport, which I highly recommend if you visit any of the resorts. It's easy to access the Grand Strand from the airport. The resort was easy to find off of Highway 17 with plenty of grocery stores very close including a Kroger and a Super WalMart that had groceries. Restaurant Row was right down the street with an unbelieveable amount of affordable restaurants. This resort is in North Myrtle Beach, so you have to drive south on the 17 to get to the main attraction area in South Myrtle Beach, but it's only about 10 minutes away.
We were given unit 1501 in the North Tower of the the resort.
WOW! There are only two time-share units in the north tower. It was on the 15th floor but a very nice two bedroom unit. The way the resort is laid out, all units have a very nice view of the beach, you can't lose. This unit had two balcony's, one for the main bedroom and one off the living room. We went with another couple and we never used our balcony because the four of us used the living room balcony. Our bedroom had a King bed and plenty of drawer and closet space. We had a private bathroom and it was very roomy. The second bedroom had two twin beds and access to the second bath from their room. There is also access to the second bath from the interior of the unit. Both baths had full cabinets and plenty of counter space and storage. The dining room was roomy as was the living room. The unit was clean and well kept. The maid stopped by on Wednesday to straighten up but that is the only day a maid comes by in the timeshare units. You don't get daily service. The restaurant downstairs was just okay, nothing to write home about but the food was just okay (why eat there when there are so many restaurants so close?)
The full kitchen was a dream to have. We cooked a couple of meals and had plenty of room in the frige for our drinks and food. We made sandwich's for the beach which was right THERE! No need for a long walk, the beach is right at the resort (of course). For alcohol, don't buy at the ABC store in the Kroger parking lot, they are very over-priced. I don't remember the name of the liquor store just south of there but look around, there are better prices elsewhere.
Over-all, I HIGHLY recommend this location, it was easy to find and very nice. Everyone was friendly and the unit was awesome!

This review is from my daughter on spring break with 5 other girls. Graduating from College.
They had a great time and thought the unit was very nice.
I pressed for the below criticisms.
The pools that they said were supposed to be heated, were very cold. (yes it is March)
My daughter stated that the unit was very clean, but thought the shower tiles could use replacing.
They actually cooked meals there a few days and said the kitchen was complete with everything they needed.
They were all thrilled to have this place to stay and all had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again.

Myrtle Beach is not our normal spot we go to for vacation, but we made this exchange as my husband had business in the area so we decided to bundle it into a vacation. We stayed Sunday through Friday, missing the weekend crowds after “Bike Week” (always the weekend after Mother’s Day and before “Black Bike Week” (Memorial Day weekend). Check-in was quick, the staff was friendly and we had our keys and were on our way to our villa in 10 minutes. We were asked to attend the Fairfield presentation which was 45 minutes and you could receive a $25 gift certificate, but did not attend.
There was ample parking close to the elevator and there were several luggage carts available for unloading. The only real problem we encountered was that the elevator was broken when we arrived and was not in and out of service for the first 3 days of our stay. The staff was very accommodating and offered to help us carry our things to the 6th floor!!! By a stroke of luck, the elevator worked when we carried the bulk of our luggage, however on 2 other occasions we had to ask for assistance carrying our double stroller and 10 month old twins up six flights of stairs. They offered to move us to another villa, however we decided to stay in ours and the elevator worked properly for the rest of our visit.
The resort itself is showing some age, however it is still well maintained. The unit (Villas II, #611) was clean, a few scuff marks on the wall, but in very good condition. We had a fabulous view of the lagoon, pools and the beach and particularly loved the very large balcony which opened from the living area and the master bedroom. We found the living area rather small – it was fine for our family (2 adults, 5 small children), but could get a little crowded if it were a group of adults. Wireless internet access was available in the unit for $5 per day or $25 for week, but in the Registration Building, wireless access was free. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking (since all of our children are under the age of 5, we don’t eat out too much when we vacation). The only thing I missed was a 9x13 dish. The kitchen had an electric can opener, blender, hand mixer, and we especially enjoyed waking up to fresh coffee with the programmable coffee maker! While one of the previous reviewers noted limited counter space, I did not find this the case. The dining area was roomy and had a table with six chairs and placemats which were a nice touch. The table could have easily seated eight if you wanted to add two more chairs. We also found that there was plenty of closet and storage space for our “stuff” (With 5 small children, we don’t exactly travel lightly!). We especially appreciated the extra space in the laundry closet where we could stash all the beach paraphernalia (kites, buckets, boogie boards, etc.)
The master bedroom had a king bed with a very comfortable mattress and plenty of extra pillows. We did have to call the front desk to have them deliver sheets for the pull out couch bed (which was surprisingly comfortable!!!) and after 30 minutes of no sheets we finally just went to get them ourselves. While the master bath did not have a large Jacuzzi tub, we were surprised to find a large double shower! We were disappointed that there was no countertop in the master bath, just a pedestal sink. There was a small medicine cabinet to put toiletries, but we basically had to live out of our toiletry bags since there was just no place to put anything.
At check in, we received an activity schedule for the week which included some free activities for the kids and adults as well as some activities with small fees ranging from $3-$10. We were unable to attend the Welcome Orientation and Morning Mixer because it was for adults only. Free coffee, juice, doughnuts muffins served! The kids loved the pools and the two lazy rivers. One small pool and hot tub was just below our villa so we found that very convenient for quick swimming outings with the kids. Inner tubes are provided for free for the lazy rivers or you can use your own flotation device. The beach was great and while we brought our own umbrellas and chairs, you could rent two chairs and an umbrella for $30 a day. There is one restaurant on site and while the food was mediocre, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to the needs of our large family.
We would definitely come back to the Fairfield Seawatch Plantation again as a family. Our kids had a great time. This would not be my top choice for a getaway with my spouse, but it’s a great family vacation with plenty to keep the kids entertained. We give it a 7.5, but would have rated it an 8 were it not for the three days of elevator problems.
