Located only 11 miles south of Boone, Smoketree Lodge is surrounded by an abundance of activities. For downhill skiing, visit Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest, or Beech Mountain, all two to eight miles away. The more adventurous can go white-water canoeing, hike in the mountains, or play a round of golf on one of several courses close by.
