Very relaxing to be at the Point at Poipu. Large air-conditioned rooms. The resort is at the bottom tip of Kauia the whales are funneled through the gap to the next island. Great whale watching, sun rises and sunsets. We try to walk down to the point every evening for a great sunset and occasionally a green flash. Large activity area by pool. Bar and restaurant and covered party area by pool. The whole resort is like a scenic walk in a park. It does not have a safe beach but walking distance to great beaches with lifeguards. Many nearby areas to hike in with tall cliffs to jump off into the ocean. Good activity programs for children and adults. Kauia is the most natural/untouched of all the islands. Short walk to Grand Hiatt for fine dining, Luals and interesting shops. 2025 first year of usage. Points may be declined.

The advantage of points is that you can use them at other resorts and/or other dates if some years you prefer. I would not recommend that you go the point route unless you are already a point member.
